Oh yeah!!! It was worth the 1:20 minute drive. Yes it’s a dump. Line out the door. But it moves quick . Got a sausage egg and cheese. Crazy good. The best of this type of sandwich I’ve ever had. The service was great. A small area to dine in. Elvis everywhere. Not only was the sandwich great but it was super cheap like $4.50. OMG great. Sorry I’m being so effusive but this is the kind of place that I become bewilderingly excited to find.

What can be said about the famous Helen’s that hasn’t been said already..the sausage sandwich is excellent. The BLT sandwich is also another must try. There’s enough bacon to make 2 more sandwiches. Get there early though, they sell out.

Saw an article about this place in “Only In Your State: DE” so our next trip to the beach we took the long way just so we could check this place out. Wasn’t quite sure what to think when we first pulled up to the concrete, non-descript building that houses Helen’s Sausage House but the line coming out the door spoke volumes.
